- Commercial Education Subcommittee
Emphasis: Increase number of educational offerings regarding commercial stone applications.
Chair — Dan Rea, Cold Spring Granite - Technical Bulletins Subcommittee
Emphasis: Contribute to a new series of technical bulletins to be issued in 2010.
Chair — TBA - International Membership Subcommittee
Emphasis: Increase number of International Members (goal of 5 new members by each committee member).
Chair — Jonathan Zanger, Walker Zanger - Natural Stone Institute Ambassador Program
Recommend an industry colleague for membership through the Natural Stone Institute Ambassador Program.
Chair — TBA - Stone Glossary Education Subcommittee
Emphasis: Creation of a new Natural Stone Dictionary/Reference Guide.
Chair — TBA - Care & Cleaning Education Subcommittee
Emphasis: Revise the Natural Stone Institute Care & Cleaning brochure.
Chair — TBA - CEU Education Subcommittee
Emphasis: Expand the Natural Stone Institute CEU program to include members of NKBA, CSI, and other stakeholders.
Chair — Greg Mowat, Forensic Stone Consultants - Countertop Technical/Education Subcommittee
Emphasis: Propose changes to the Natural Stone Institute Residential Countertop Technical Standards.

Emphasis: Update Natural Stone Institute Restoration & Maintenance Standards.
Chair — TBA - Consumer Education Subcommittee
Emphasis: Enhance consumer information at the Natural Stone Institute's consumer website and outreach to member firms for information.

The Natural Stone Institute and Stone World are also looking for individuals to serve on a variety of 2010 Regional Education committees. 10-15 person host committees are being assembled for the following cities. If you live within 200 miles, get involved by helping us plan outstanding regional seminars in your area.

Natural Stone Institute Boards of Directors
The Natural Stone Institute is governed by a 13 person boards of directors. Calls for nominations for the boards are made in the spring of each year and nominations are made by the Natural Stone Institute Nomination Committee, chaired by the immediate past president.
Accreditation Commission
Calls for nomination to this 11 person committee are made in the spring of each year. This committee champions the Natural Stone Institute's accreditation program. The Natural Stone Institute Board of Directors appoints this committee during its meeting, held in conjunction with StonExpo.
Education Committee
Calls for nomination to this 7 person committee are made in the spring of each year. This committee champions the Natural Stone Institute's regional education, CEU, trade show education, consumer education, and new publication development programs. The Natural Stone Institute Board of Directors appoints this committee during its meeting, held in conjunction with StonExpo. Membership Committee
Calls for nomination to this 7 person committee are made in the spring of each year. This committee champions the Natural Stone Institute's membership recruitment, retention, and outreach programs. The Natural Stone Institute Board of Directors appoints this committee during its meeting, held in conjunction with StonExpo.
