OBERLIN, OH and Chestertown, NY, July 7, 2016 —The deadline for the 2016 Pinnacle Awards is Friday, July 22. The Pinnacle Awards, a worldwide competition for excellence in natural stone, recognizes projects in the following categories:

  • Commercial Interior
  • Commercial Exterior
  • Residential Interior/Exterior
  • Renovation/Restoration
  • Kitchen of the Year (featuring Brazilian stone)
  • Bath of the Year (featuring Brazilian stone)

In addition to Pinnacle Awards of Merit and Excellence, one Grande Pinnacle Award winner will be selected. This year’s Grande Pinnacle winner will receive a trip to Verona, Italy to attend Marmomacc 2016.

All MIA+BSI member companies are eligible to enter. Projects must adhere to MIA+BSI technical and design standards, and must have been completed within the last three years (January 2013-July 2016). Winners will be recognized at the MIA+BSI Awards Luncheon at TISE 2017 and will be displayed in the awards brochure and on the association website. Additional publicity via press releases, social media, and coverage in respected industry publications will also be available throughout the year.

Jonathan Zanger (Walker Zanger), winner of the 2015 Grande Pinnacle Award, said: “To be recognized, in the presence of your peers, for all the hard work and creativity that goes into a winning project, makes all the effort worthwhile. It is especially rewarding when you consider all the other incredibly impressive projects that are entered each year.”

The 2016 Pinnacle Awards are sponsored by Marmomacc (Grande Pinnacle award), MAPEI (Commercial awards), GranQuartz (Residential awards), Coldspring (Renovation/Restoration awards), and Vitoria Stone Fair/Marmomacc Latin America (Kitchen and Bath of the Year). The 2017 Awards Luncheon will be sponsored by PICCO Engineering, the Cleveland Marble Mosaic Company, Columbia Stone, KEPCO+, Rugo Stone, and Kenneth Castellucci & Associates.
