MIA+BSI to Participate in 16th China Xiamen International Stone Fair

Oberlin, OH, and Chestertown, NY, January 7, 2016 —MIA+BSI will provide education and networking at the 16th China Xiamen International Stone Fair, to be held March 6-9, 2016 in Xiamen, China. 2016 MIA President David Castellucci said: “As MIA+BSI continues to grow and create more programming for our international audience, trade shows such as the Xiamen Stone Fair offer an invaluable opportunity to meet and network with our international membership and ensure they are made aware of our programs.”

 

MIA+BSI will present educational sessions on the following topics as part of the 2016 World Stone Congress:

  • Sustainable Natural Stone
  • Thin Veneer Stone
  • Commercial Installation
  • Stone Exterior Wall Cladding
  • MIA+BSI’s Natural Stone Promotional Campaign
  • Flooring, Finishes, and Friction
  • Doing Business in the United States

 

MIA+BSI will also partner with Xiamen Jinhongxin Co., Ltd. to present a one-day study tour of factories in the Shitou Fujian region of China, which will take place on March 8. Xiamen Jinhongxin Co., Ltd. has also agreed to underwrite a Mandarin translation of the Dimension Stone Design Manual, Version 8, which will be available in late 2016. This is one of several translations of the Dimension Stone Design Manual planned for this year.

 

Members are invited to join the MIA+BSI delegation to China. As part of the MIA+BSI delegation, participating members will receive three complimentary nights lodging, bus transportation for the factory tours, and several VIP reception invitations.
