The restoration and conservation of historic structures represent a major and growing component of the architectural and construction industry. This session will offer an overview of American marble utilizing the newly acquired archives and stone collection of the Vermont Marble Company. Aesthetic and technical issues will be discussed as they pertain to the understanding required for conservation practice.
