Oberlin, OH, USA, August 18, 2015 —The Marble Institute of America (MIA), in conjunction with Stone World magazine and Informa Exhibitions, announces that it will host a Stone Industry Leadership Reception during Marmomacc 2015 in Verona, Italy. The reception will take place on Thursday, October 1st, 2015, from 4:30-6:00 pm at the Verona Exhibition Center, in the foyer outside the Auditorium Verdi in the Centrocongressi Europa. The reception is free, but registration is required.

This is the second year for the reception, which is quickly becoming a “must-attend” portion of Marmomacc. Last year’s reception was attended by over 150 individuals. Stone professionals from around the world will gather for networking and will have the opportunity to meet with Stone World staff, learn about upcoming Informa Exhibitions trade shows, and hear about exciting new MIA projects, including the Supplier-to-Buyer Manual and version 8.0 of the Dimension Stone Design Manual, both of which are slated for release in late 2015 or early 2016.

This year’s Stone Industry Leadership Reception will feature hors d’oeuvres and a wine tasting courtesy of Tommasi Family Estates: Valpolicella, Ripasso, and Lugana. Mr. Franco Tommasi and the winery’s sommelier will attend the event. The reception would not be possible without the support of Rock of Ages, Atlas Copco, Walker Zanger, Coldspring, Tommasi Family Estates, and Ghirardi Stone Contractors.
