Plan to arrive at Grand Junction Doubletree in time to board the bus at 3pm Sunday for our tour.

The event includes one night in Grand Junction and 3 nights in Glenwood Springs.

All attendees will check into Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs Monday pm.

Grand Junction Shuttle: If you choose to fly into Denver or are planning to drive to Grand Junction from destinations east of Glenwood Springs, CO, you may use our Shuttle Bus for transportation from Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs to the Doubletree in Grand Junction. This will eliminate the need to drive your personal car to Grand Junction and you won’t be following the bus to Colorado Quarries and on to Glenwood Springs on Monday. We prefer all guests ride the bus.

Plan for motorcoach Shuttle Bus to depart Hotel Colorado no later than 12 noon on Sunday.  You may park your car for free at the Hotel Colorado.  Let them know you will be checking in Monday pm.

Registration is now open.

The 2023 Natural Stone Institute Colorado Study Tour will begin Sunday afternoon September 10 and continue through Wednesday night, September 13. We will be covering a lot of territory for this event and will be utilizing two hotels – one night in Grand Junction and 3 nights in Glenwood Springs. Hotel accommodations will be included in this year’s registration process and all lodging arrangements will be made for the attendees. One registration – one fee. Natural Stone Institute will arrange for all transportation between Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs hotels as part of our event travel itinerary.

Overview
Our 2023 event starts with a visit to Colorado National Monument Park. Guests will experience the site’s visitor center attractions, a short hike into the park and a vista filled drive along Rim Rock Drive. Later, enjoy a relaxed welcome reception at the Doubletree Hotel in Grand Junction. Monday we pack up and leave Grand Junction with stops at a state of the art stone fabrication facility and historic Yule marble quarry, both run by Colorado Stone Quarries. Monday night is on your own. Tuesday will include open meetings of our advocacy groups and a Town Hall style update from the Natural Stone Institute. Optional offsite activities will be followed by the annual LIVE auction held after dinner at the Hotel Colorado. Wednesday we’ll enjoy open roundtable conversations then go off site to compete in a fun challenge at Gallegos’ Gypsum stone yard where attendees will enjoy a Poker Run game spotlighting additional NSI member companies who supply the stone yard with their materials. Women in Stone will host the next installment of their Legacy Series interviews, this time honoring Brenda Edwards of TexaStone Quarries. This special WIS sponsored event will be part of a unique, western-themed evening at the Woodworth Ranch featuring lawn games, an open bar, and a BBQ cookout.

Registration
Any current Natural Stone Institute member and/or member employee, including a partner or spouse, is eligible to attend with a paid registration for each individual. The Full registration fee will include hotel accommodations for 4 nights and all group meals including scheduled receptions, breakfasts, hosted lunches, Tuesday dinner, and Wednesday night cookout. The Second in Room registration fee excludes lodging costs and should be selected for any registrant who will share a room with a Full registrant.

There may be specific activities available as a la carte registration options offered for those individuals accompanying a Full registrant who do not wish to participate in the entire event. We regret no children under the age of 12 may attend.

Many details are yet to be finalized. Updates will be made as they develop.
