Overview
Natural Stone Institute returns to Vermont for this always-popular study tour event. Registration will open May 4 offering Full, 2nd in Room, Non-Lodging and some a A la La carte Carte attendance options. It’s been ten years since our last Vermont tour and attendees can expect visits to familiar and prominent Barre and surrounding member sites like Miles Supply, Buttura and Gherardi, Trow and Holden, and Polycor’s Bethel and E.L. Smith granite quarries. New for 2026 are visits to Polycor’s Woodbury granite quarry, Black River Quarries and the Carving Studio & Sculpture Center in W. Rutland followed by dinner at Norwich University. Expect a few traditional favorites like Hope Cemetery and the Vermont Granite Museum. Monday night will feature the annual LIVE auction which has become the “must attend” highlight of this event.

A La Carte attendee options: NSI encourages local member company employees to participate as time allows through these A La Carte options. Select these from the registration form ONLY if you aren’t attending as one of the above. Tours rate includes breakfast at hotel, round trip bus transportation and lunch.

Attire
- All tours are casual, but safety toe shoes will likely be required for facility and quarry tours. Hard hats will be provided, if needed.
- All dinners are considered casual, or as you prefer.
- Plan day trips for swings in temps from morning to afternoon/evening.
