Oberlin, OH, January 2026 — The Natural Stone Institute (NSI) and the Natural Stone Foundation (NSF) announce their 2026 Boards of Directors and leadership transitions, reinforcing a continued commitment to advancing the natural stone industry through education, research, and community engagement.
These updates reflect strong industry representation across fabrication, quarrying and distribution, supporting both organizations’ missions to strengthen the future of natural stone.
Natural Stone Foundation Leadership Updates
Jon Zanger has been appointed President and Treasurer of the Natural Stone Foundation for 2026, succeeding Brie Pfannenbecker, who will continue to serve as Immediate Past President. Zanger brings decades of leadership experience and a long-standing commitment to industry education and workforce initiatives.
The NSF also extends its appreciation to Rick Stimac for his leadership and service as he concludes his board tenure.
Through its mission-driven work, the Natural Stone Foundation supports scholarship programs, sustainability initiatives, and educational outreach that invest in the next generation of stone professionals.

Natural Stone Institute Leadership Updates
The Natural Stone Institute has named Jeff Erickson as President of the Board of Directors effective January 2026. Succeeding Evan Cohen, Erickson will lead NSI’s strategic priorities focused on industry education, technical standards, and silica safety advocacy.
NSI also welcomes two newly elected members to the Board of Directors:
Martha Roberson
Granite Group International — Villa Rica, GA
Roberson entered the natural stone industry in 2002 and became a founding partner of Granite Group International in 2010. A long-time NSI member, she participated in the 2025 NSI Study Tour and brings more than two decades of industry experience to the Board of Directors.
Peter Prvulovic
Vermont Quarries Corp. — Mendon, VT
Prvulovic represents Vermont Quarries Corp. and brings expertise in quarry operations and material production, strengthening NSI’s representation across the full natural stone supply chain. He is an active member of the North American Quarry Advocacy Group and is committed to advancing sustainability initiatives within the industry.
