Malcolm Cohen
The MIA is pleased to present the 2005 award to Malcolm Cohen, a man who has spent 65 years in the business—a career in which he not only has been a successful businessman, but also a lifelong supporter of the MIA and an unabashed advocate of natural stone to architects, designers, and countless others in the industry. During his more than sixty years in the stone business, Malcolm Cohen's experience in the industry is unparalleled. He has acquired a body of knowledge that cannot be duplicated. Mr. Cohen has been the president of five different associations, including MIA in 1984-85.
Cohen's companies, Domestic Marble and Miller Druck Specialty, have been involved in such notable projects such as Grand Central Station and the Statue of Liberty in New York; The White House in Washington D.C.; and, Canary Wharf in England.
Mr. Cohen was presented with his lifetime achievement award on October 21, 2005.
